Legal Aid Foundation of Santa Barbara County is a nonprofit law firm that provides free legal assistance to residents of Santa Barbara County. Our mission is to provide high-quality civil justice services to low-income residents and other vulnerable residents to ensure equal access to justice. We change lives through direct representation, legal advice and information, and community building. Our vision is a community where low-income people and other vulnerable residents can thrive and where all residents have meaningful access to the civil justice system. Since 1959, Legal Aid has been providing legal services to the most disadvantaged in our community. Our services include the provision of legal advice, assistance in the preparation of legal documents and representation in legal proceedings. We provide free legal aid to eligible low-income individuals or families (our top priority is those with an income of 200% FPL and under), people with disabilities, people over the age of 60, and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, human trafficking, or other abuse residing in Santa Barbara County. The Foundation provides free civil legal advice to low-income individuals, seniors, and victims of domestic violence and elder abuse. It offers the full range of services, from advice and advice to legal representation before all courts and in non-profit administrative negotiations.
