/The Legal Husband Thai Drama

Another problem? There were simply too many filler scenes, beauty photos, and advice from Mark taking off his shirt and bathing. Have you had an accident? Let him take off his shirt. Are you stuck in the middle of nowhere? Shower scene. Dealing with a life-threatening problem? Take a bath and cry. It`s happened many times! There was even a ridiculous scene in which Muey dreamed that Tian was a god descended from the sky and bathed in the river of mere mortals. Guess what? He was also shirtless. Male objectification was very real in this drama. Well, that`s not to say the series didn`t have merits. The poems exchanged by Muey and Tian were quite kind and depicted their feelings at certain points in the drama.

There were a lot of confusing things, I`m not kidding. Throughout the drama, My Husband in Law showed a penchant for stacking scenes that didn`t seem to make sense and letting them last as long as possible before revealing the twist. Then they expect everyone to get on board. And the medical emergencies in this drama were so ridiculous. The reactions were not consistent with the injuries sustained. Everything was treated as a life and death situation, even if they were obviously not critical. Let me manage your expectations from the start. My Husband in Law is riddled with plot holes, inconsistencies and problematic script writing that it will be a challenge to get through 15 episodes of an hour and a half of episode. Half the time, I was still wondering what was going on before another ridiculous element was introduced. In the first two episodes, I was already confused about which characters knew that Tian and Muey were married, how much they knew like her sister, and which group knew that Muey was married and who her husband was. Yes! I thought about how the domestic girl suddenly became a hacker?! Thanks for the warning. I got to a point where the story became pretty ridiculous, the show created powerful poignant moments like Passey`s confession of how much she loved Tian and why she wanted to leave him.

After Tian`s grand romantic gesture of pursuing Muey, he denied the seriousness of her actions by holding Muey captive in his tent and taking lightly all the serious things they shared, rather than just confessing that he didn`t want her to leave. They did it so many times, with strong emotional moments completely ruined by the next scene where the characters would do something stupid or unreasonable. Reactions were everywhere. It`s confusing. It also didn`t make sense that most of the big issues like Muey`s betrayal were simply put aside because it distracted Tian with his “undesirable” romantic pursuit, although I have to admit that the Dawei arc was much better at building the relationship between Tian and Muey. I just didn`t like the lack of consistency in the scenes. There was also a message of self-love and that your happiness should not depend on others. I liked that in the end, everyone was served their true karma, good and bad.

The way the characters did their duty with flashbacks of what happened before was quite satisfying. The beauty of My Husband in Law was that, while investing in the happy endings of its main characters, it also offered happy endings in various forms, such as Chet and Not. But there were also those who were not so kind. Kang and Khoefang were so exaggerated that I just wanted them to disappear. Tian`s mother, Mrs. Jee, bless his heart, was no better. Half of the problems in Muey and Tian`s relationship were caused by their arbitrary interference, which made Tian suspicious of Muey and opposed his mother`s machinations. And what were the Nawanawakuns? For supposed hotel owners, an army of thugs seems to be available, even bigger than Pondech, a real gangster. A right-wing student A has a secret crush on Zhuang Dafei, underperforming, Given these complaints, you may be wondering what made me finish until the end.

And it`s simple. The great chemistry between Mark and Mew (although their characters really took turns being unreasonable idiots). This pair was so cute that you can`t help but root them. Everyone in the story seemed to keep secrets from each other for one altruistic reason or another. Everyone seemed to have different motivations, only to find out in the end that they wanted the same thing, but all they managed to do was make things worse than before. There were also problematic concepts about how easily they viewed stalking and possible rape (thankfully they didn`t go both times). And while the overall level of substance in this series was low, I loved how they evolved Tian`s character over the course of the series from a little fool to a mature man who will stop at nothing to protect those he loved. On the other hand, I loved Muey and Tian`s groups of friends, especially the trio Beer, Not and Toon. They were loyal to Tian, but they kissed Muey as their own. They never left the couple, although they were always caught in the middle of their marital problems.

They were faithful from beginning to end. Also, their antics, especially when they tried to “seduce” women, were hilarious. As a huge fan of It Started with a Kiss and Fated to Love You, I was immediately drawn to the premise of My Husband in Law. Muey (Mew Nittha Jirangyurn), a girl who has been in love with his childhood friend Tian (Mark Prin Suparat) for years, has the chance to marry him when he gets into trouble after having an affair with a woman married to a gangster. They agree to divorce as soon as the dust settles, but they work together when Muey`s company is absorbed by the company Tien works for. Let us now turn to the egregious conspiracies. Muey never designed anything for a so-called interior designer. At work, she tried her hand at administration and excelled in computer science, which made no sense, even though the show wanted to portray her as a strong and competent professional. Why was she written as an interior designer in the first place? The hacker arc was so random.
