Journal of Law Teachers of India is the flagship journal of Law Centre-I, Faculty of Law, Delhi. The first volume of JOLT-I was published in collaboration with the Association of Law Teachers of India (ALT-I) in 2010. The main goal of JOLT-I is to promote good legal writing on all areas of law and research among students and professors. All work is reviewed prior to publication. The journal has an advisory board and an editorial board composed of eminent scientists. [14] [15] The Faculty of Law was founded in 1924. The Deputy Chancellor of Delhi University and himself a great lawyer, jurist and educator, Dr. Hari Singh Gauur, was the first Dean of the Faculty of Law. The faculty was originally housed in the Prince`s Pavilion on the grounds of the former viceregal lodge. It was not until 1963 that the faculty moved to its present location in Chhatra Marg, University of Delhi, Delhi. My studies at Christ University Law School were the cornerstones that helped me start a successful career as a corporate lawyer. The Faculty of Law and Faculty have provided me with a high-level legal education and provided me with many opportunities to enhance my leadership and networking skills and enhance my confidence through classroom presentations, the Faculty of Law, CHRIST (reputed to be the university) has carved out a place for itself in the top league of leading law schools in India through its five-year law program. The school shapes its students through a combination of exposure to the advanced curriculum, clinical-forensic training programs, and faculty-supervised participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
The curriculum of the five-year programme goes far beyond the core requirements of the Bar Council of India, which reflect current trends and demands in academia and industry. In addition to a league of highly qualified speakers, the educational process is supported by a library equipped with a rich repository of online and offline resources. The commitment to excel is evident in the difficult but smooth transition to online education in the wake of adversity caused by the pandemic. The Faculty of Law will strive to work with unwavering commitment to the cause of the rule of law and the promotion of excellence in the field of legal education in India. I think the experience I gained with SLCU was really valuable – as it prepared me for former law school students selected for the prestigious Chevening Scholarship at Delhi University Faculty of Law was ranked fourth in India by The Week “Top Law Colleges in 2019”. [6] About Law Centre-1 Law Centre-I was founded in 1970 with 600 seats and held its courses in a building in Kashmere Gate. Soon he was transferred to a school in Mandir Marg. In 1994, the Law Centre-1 was transferred to the North Campus of Delhi University in Chhatra Marg to the premises of the Faculty of Law. In 2015, another five-storey building, Umang Bhawan, was allocated to the centre by the University of Delhi. Currently, the center of this building is functioning as well as another number of buildings located next to the Umang Bhawan.
